Co-Products

Along with producing approximately 60,000,000 gallons of ethanol, Siouxland Energy strives to produce consistent, high quality feed stuffs to local feedlots and dairy producers.

Co-Products

Wet distillers grains (WDGS) are a major co-product of the ethanol production process.  WDGS are a fraction of the non-fermentable components of the corn kernel.  WDGS are rich in protein and fat making it a high-energy feed supplement for livestock.

WDGS loading hours are between 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Mon-Fri and 7:30 am – 10:30 am on Saturday.

Syrup (CDS) is another fraction of the non-fermentable components of the corn kernel.  It is used as liquid supplemental feed ingredient derived from evaporating the thin stillage.

Syrup loading hours are between 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Mon-Fri and 7:30 am – 10:30 am on Saturday.

Corn oil (DCO) is the final fraction of the non-fermentable components of the corn kernel.  Corn oil is spun out of the syrup stream and is primarily marketed as a feedstock for biodiesel, renewable diesel and as a supplement to livestock feed.

Corn oil loading hours are between 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Mon-Fri.
